National Professional Development Day Certification

National Professional Development Day is dedicated to empowering educators with the tools, resources, and collaborative opportunities necessary to enhance their teaching practices. This immersive experience invites teachers from various backgrounds to engage in meaningful professional learning, foster collegial connections, and explore innovative strategies to enrich their classrooms. Collaboration is a central theme of this engagement, as educators engage in peer sessions that promote sharing best practices and co-constructing solutions for common classroom challenges. 

To support this sharing of effective practices, the Jamaica Teaching Council, through the Lead Teacher Programme, develops and disseminates a Professional Development Training Toolkit that supports teachers as they tinker with their craft in hands-on workshops and knowledge sharing communities. This PD space is not for the delivery of a course but rather a space in which the Council can offer additional information regarding the disseminated toolkit and for registered teachers who have engaged with the training toolkit can register to be certified.
